Lyrics

Sometimes it feels like I'm broken
And sometimes maybe I am, when
I've lived a long time in the back seat
And let everyone else take the wheel

Sometimes I don't know where I'm going
And sometimes the road isn't clear
It twists and turns and throws me off
But I still know I've got to go on

I've only got one life
And it's mine to live as I will
So I'll take a chance
And do what I've got to do

Sometimes it feels like I'm drowning
And sometimes maybe I am, when
I can't cross this river of tears
That is flowing from out of my past

Sometimes I speak when I shouldn't
And sometimes I cannot be heard
I'll let you down, then turn away
I'm not who you'd hoped I could be

I've only got one life
And it's mine to live as I will
So I'll take a chance
And do what I've got to do

I've always wanted to escape
To wash my hands of all this
But I can't do that, I can't run
I'll lift my head up and risk it all

I've only got one life
And I'll make it worth living for
So I'll take a chance
And do what I've got to do
